The unfortunate thing is that The Fourth Kind has a pretty good premise. Nothing to write home about, but a solid thriller story. A psychologist (Milla Jovovich) dealing with the mysterious death of her husband and fellow researcher discovers that numerous people have had the same terrifying experience of being violated by a malevolent alien force.

Thursday marks the 100th anniversary of the American movie industry's first attempt to bring "Frankenstein" to the big screen with a long-forgotten film made by Thomas Edison's studio. The centennial comes on the heels of recent news about a production based on Dean Koontz's "Frankenstein" books, as well as the publication of Frederick C. Wiebel, Jr.'s book "Edison's Frankenstein." While visiting his in-laws in Minneapolis 20 years ago, Wiebel happened to see a clip from the long-lost film on TV.  

Making lots of changes just because you can and pretending to know it all are sure-fire ways to turn off employees, especially if you're a young manager supervising an older work force.
